As the author of more than 100 books for young readers, Lisa L. Owens has published everything from picture books to YA self-help. She loves creating nonfiction that helps cultivate curiosity and fiction that kids see themselves in, whether the setting is a 17th-century pirate ship or a modern-day playground.

A native Midwesterner, Lisa has lived in the Pacific Northwest since the late 1990s. Her many interests include reading great books, listening to jazz, watching classic films, cooking new dishes, spending time with friends and family, taking her greyhound on long walks — and, of course, WRITING FOR YOU!
